Medical Consultant-Dr. Thomas Echeverria Dr. Echeverria is a board-certified orthopedic surgeon, with a sub-specialty certificate in surgery of the hand. He has served his medical practice here in Greenfield since 1980. A graduate of Deerfield Academy, he conducted his undergraduate studies at Brown University. He earned his Bachelor's of Medical Science at Dartmouth Medical School, followed by his Medical Degree from the University of Texas Southwestern Medical School. Upon graduation, he performed his residency at SUNY Upstate Medical Center in Syracuse, New York. |

Director of Nursing - Megan Wheeler RN Megan has been an integral part of Poet's Seat Health Care Center for over nine years working in supervision, staff development and infection control. Her previous experience includes offering strong clinical guidance in the areas of sub-acute care, psychiatric care, hospice and end of life care. Megan is dedicated to providing quality care while ensuring dignity and independence to the elderly by working closely with the interdisciplinary team here at Poet's Seat Health Care Center. Director of Rehabilitation - Tammy Provencal Tammy earned her Master's degree in Physical Therapy from American International College in Springfield and her Bachelor's degree in Science from the same institution. She has over seven years of work experience in home health care and at long-term skilled nursing facilities prior to joining Poet's Seat. Her experience, enthusiasm and vision will allow us to continue to provide the highest level of care to our residents. |

Social Service Director - Jeana Bachinski LSW Jeana has Submited the health care team at Poet's Seat Health Care Center. Jeana has worked in Franklin County for the past 15 years. Her extensive experience includes working at Baystate Franklin Medical Center as a Case Manager and Discharge Planner. Jeana's duties included assisting patients and their families in the difficult decision around short and long-term geriatric care. Jeana is also very familiar with referrals back into the community and to hospice. She is dedicated to helping ease the burden for residents and their families. Jeana strives to safeguard the autonomy and ensure quality care within the facility. She follows a resident's discharge while working closely with the interdisciplinary team at Poet's Seat Health Care Center. |

Registered Respiratory Therapist - Rani Silver After graduating from NYU in 1969, Rani created a dance company, teaching corrective breathing and posture to professional and nonprofessional dancers. After moving to Leverett in 1980, Rani earned a degree in Respiratory Care from Springfield Technical Community College. She went on to become Director of Cardiopulmonary at Athol Memorial Hospital. She then became Manager of the Respiratory Care Dept. at Holyoke Hospital. |

Activities Director - Zenaida Diaz Zenaida (Zee) has been at Poet's Seat Health Care Center for 12 years, and has served as Activities Director for the past five. She is a Certified Nurses' Aide, and is also a member of the Western Massachusetts Activities Professionals (WMAP). Zee and her caring staff focus on community life programs and integral activities to enrich the quality of our residents'daily lives. |

Marketing Director - Chris Wojcik Chris started at Poet's Seat in February 2011. He has worked in the field of graphic design and communications since 1997. He worked as the Senior Publications Coordinator at Syracuse University's News Services Office for 5 years and as a Publications Designer at Channing Bete Company for 2 years. In 2003, he earned his Master's Degree in Advertising from Syracuse University, and served on the board of the Syracuse Ad Club from 2004-2006. Most recently, he has run his own business, offering design, communications and marketing services. Food Service Manager-Tony Thurston Tony has excelled in all aspects of the food service industry for the past 25 years. Most recently, he served as the head chef and culinary instructor at Northfield Mount Hermon, and the Food Service Coordinator for the Franklin County Head-Start program (overseeing all of its 14 sites). He is also certified in Nutritional Supervision from The American Academy of Nutrition. |
